  From a rise above Castrisch you can see the 2064m high PIZ MUNDAUN and right behind the BRIGELS HORN. Around the village you will find many prepared footways.

The public traffic into the surrounding ski areas Flims-Laax -
Obersaxen - Brigels - Vals etc ...is optimally regulated. The best connection starts from the station of Castrisch by train to Ilanz. There are the mail-buses waiting to go to the named areas hourly: for example from Castrisch 8:28 - Ilanz at 8:32 - further with the buses 8:35 directly before the railway station and again so back...
...and also by your own car it's easy to drive on well evacuated streets in a few minutes to the big sport-centers. These are like already mentions: Flims-Laax or Brigels-Waltensburg or the Piz Mundaun, Obersaxen-Meierhof and the Val Lumnezia, where everyone, beginners or top-drivers, will find the matching groomed ski-runs.
 
A trip with a panorama-car into the imposing mountain-world is a particular experience.
