experience Glacier-Express

Once crosswise over the Alps: between Zermatt and St. Moritz you will ecperience one of the most fascinate and the wildest trip through the railroad history of Europe. It takes 7 1/2 hours to wind the gear driven high-mountain-track through 7 valleys, 91 tunnels and over 261 bridges. The Glacier-Express climbs 2033 meters high up to the Oberalp in order to climb through the Furka basic tunnel and down to the Walliser glacier-hollows.

In the glass-roofed panorama-car, you cross ancient culture-landscapes, pass famous sights of all style-epoches and meet several tradition-steeped peoples.

In summer brooks and forests rustle, in winter the snow gnashes under the tracks. In the dining wagon of the GlacierExpress you can get always prepared fresh foods you. At the comfortable seats you can use the mini-bar.

Between the Matterhorn and the Piz Bernina, passing the majestic Gotthard Mountains the red track ascends almost all climaxes of Switzerland.
