car only 15 minutes away. You can reach the ruin only by foot . The
way goes approximately 20 min through a beautiful forest, passing
mossy rocks, small water-sources and fireplaces, that invite to
linger and make a barbecue, ...und until one looks you're standing in
front of the Joergenburg. Unexpectedly large is the 2001
reestablished castle-ruin, whose origins reach back until the year
765 presumably. Many different owners decided their utilization as
simple castle up to a temporary feudal-castle. In the 15th century in
times with war, pestilence and bad times there happened also the
notorious processes against witches. On a rise where alleged witches
and other delinquents were executed, still stand the intact columns
of stone.
